“Media happens to be an affirmation of gender and identity divinity. Media is masculine weapons in a feminine shell. Media represents gender confidence. United for the fact of wanting to get all notions of mind body n spirit aligned but in the meantime we still mean business!”

There's some essential information about the artist and her work in "Media." In three sentences, Brogdon points her audience toward her central concerns: Identity. How we can make a strong, definitive statement about the self in a world where we are constantly being overwritten by media. Disks float above the figure's head, representing the media atmosphere we live and breathe. But the figure's crossed arms and one-eyed gaze captures the attitude of the final sentence perfectly: "United for the fact of wanting to get all notions of mind body n spirit aligned but in the meantime we still mean business!"
