“I bet most people know that benadryl will put your butt out and you don't need a lot to sleep soundly. Okay that's fine, but I was drugging myself and kept the bottle bedside just in case I woke up. And when I did wake up I couldn’t move because my body would still be sedated. I said forget the spoon and forget the measuring cup. I’m just gone drink it cause I wanna die. Well that’s what I was thinking at the time and well I'll be truthful.. The thoughts don’t really go away and I don’t buy benadryl afraid that i’ll overdose.

Meditative Thoughts is a representative piece highlighting a long battle in search of peace. The plant and the benedryl to me are ways of holding onto at least a piece of peace, and I have found extreme comfort in both of them. The white cup on the side of the plant has spilled over and now ice and purple medicine are all over just watering the plant with cough syrup and ice water. The plant because of it’s environment hosts various flowers- some dying, some bleeding, some thriving.”
